Growing up in Edison New Jersey , Dr. DeBenedetto developed his love for health and fitness at an early age. Wrestling in high school he was a District champion and still holds the school record for the fastest pin(:08). He developed a passion for optimal health and performance. Dr. DeBenedetto's first encounter with chiropractic was in junior high school when he injured his low back wrestling in the finals of a tournament. He was so impressed with the results of chiropractic care that he decided he would one day become a chiropractor.

After high school Dr. DeBenedetto went to Rutgers University where he also continued to wrestle. After graduating from Rutgers, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport , Iowa . He excelled in chiropractic college being on the Presidents List and graduating Cum Laude.

After graduating from Palmer College , Dr. DeBenedetto practiced as an associate doctor at a busy chiropractic office near Pittsburgh . In October of 1991 Dr. DeBenedetto moved his practice to Mifflintown and opened Mifflintown Family Chiropractic. For over 30 years Dr. Mark has practiced with his wife Dr. Tami and together have treated over 7000 patients.

He has traveled over 10,000 miles taking numerous continuing education seminars. In 1995 after completing over 100 hours in post graduate sports chiropractic seminars he was awarded by the American Board of Sports Physicians his Certification in Sports Chiropractic(CCSP).

Dr. DeBenedetto focuses on family chiropractic care with special attention to sports injuries and treating children. His life purpose and the mission of the entire Mifflintown Family Chiropractic team is to educate and adjust as many families as possible toward optimal health through natural chiropractic care. To fulfill this purpose Dr. DeBenedetto has given over 400 educational work shops. He is always working to improve quality of service and care provided at Mifflintown Family Chiropractic with continual focus on post graduate education that brings the latest advances in chiropractic to his patients. One such advancement is the Tytron C-5000 which will help the doctors pinpoint subluxations by utilizing SEMG and thermography(See Latest Technology). Just a few years ago, Mifflintown Family Chiropractic upgraded to digital x-ray. By adding Biokinemetrics ChiroSight Digital X-ray to our practice we continue to strive to be on the cutting edge of technology and providing the BEST chiropractic care possible to our patients! By combining Digital and High Frequency x-ray to our practice you can feel confident you are receiving the most advanced, razor-sharp, safest  chiropractic radiology exam offered. The ChiroSight software is the ONLY digital x-ray software designed specifically for chiropractic use. ChiroSight improves our ability to diagnose, treat and communicate with our patients which in turn leads to a better outcomes!  We will continue to strive and improve our practice to offer the most advanced chiropractic care possible.

Dr. DeBenedetto has two wonderful children. A twenty-seven year old daughter named Michaela who graduated from Indiana University and a twenty-four year old son named Matthew who graduated from Lafayette College and is now attending Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He has been very involved in their activities and has coached many teams from wrestling, baseball, soccer, and basketball. He also enjoys supporting his favorite sports teams. His favorite college teams are Penn State University and of course Rutgers University . He is also a die-hard New York Giants and New York Mets fan!
